Documents to have for filling out your Visa:
Passport, JPG Photo of your full Passport Bio page, JPG photo of your Passport Photo (take a picture of the photo you have on your passport), PDF of your Flight Itinerary (specifically the returning flight itinerary), Credit Card to pay for Visa, [if applicable] your previous Zanzibar Visa PDF
Stay for up to 30 days.
Visa is Valid for 90 days from arrival.
Receive application notification letter & visa grant notice via appropriate email address.
Bring a hard copy with your travel documents.
Upon arrival to Tanzania, you will complete a Tanzania Entry Arrival declaration form

Travel Itineraries
Travel Insurance is Mandatory
You must have Travel Insurance prior to joining the trip. Often times you get this days before the trip occurs. Preferably through the Credit Card company you used to purchase the trip in the first place.

Health Form Applications
Fill Out Your Online Health Surveillance Form
According to Tanzania Health policies, you must complete an Online Health Surveillance Form for both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
Do this 24 hours before you arrive (September 13, 2025)
Your Trip Packing List!
Packing and preparing for your trip will be a breeze as we have laid out all of the essential items to bring to Zanzibar other than your bathing suits. Each item has a link where you can purchase it. We recommend everything on this list.
Universal Adapter with Type G Plug (Zanzibar uses a Type G Plug so you'll need an adapter to plug your devices. We suggest getting 2 of these per person)
Anker Portable Power Bank (We will be out and about a lot so you want to keep your devices charged!)
Compression Socks (a must have for the long plane rides! We cannot stress enough that you'll want these)
Poncho (it does rain in Zanzibar so ponchos are better than umbrellas here!)
Windbreaker
Advil (for headaches!)
Water Shoes (these are not sandals, we'll be walking on the beach and swimming in the water and you'll want to be comfortable)
Bucket Hat (Classic POM POM Lifestyle attire!)
Visor (more classic POM POM Lifestyle attire)
Sunscreen (it is much better to get sunscreen before you arrive vs buying in Zanzibar)
Water Caps (protect your hair!)
Book Bag / Tote Bag (we will be traveling and away from the hotel and villas quite a bit so definitely get a bag you can keep all day! Get something waterproof and you can bring near the beach)
Neck Pillows (for the plane!)
Waterproof Phone Case (a beach essential to keep your devices dry)
Be sure to bring all prescribed and preventative medications
We recommend to bring $500 to $1,000 USD cash preferably in 100's to get the highest exchange rate
Customary tipping: $10-$20 per day individually tipping each staff member, driver or tour guide 10,000tsh to 15,000tsh per day

When should I arrive in Zanzibar?
You want to arrive in Zanzibar on September 14 between 5AM and 11AM EAT (East African Time). If you're flying from the US like most guests that means you'll need to start your journey to Zanzibar on September 11/ September 12 depending on where you're leaving from. When should my departure from Zanzibar be?
You will want to book your return flight for after 5pm EAT (East African Time) onSeptember 18 2025. You will likely arrive back in the US the next day. Review the Trip Orientation video at the top of the Trip Prep page for more details

The airport is (ZNZ) Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Unguja.
Will I need a Visa?
Yes. You will need a Visa for traveling to Zanzibar. We share all details once you have confirmed your deposit by our Chief Travel Officer.
Do I need to be vaccinated or COVID Negative to attend the trip?
No, as of December 15, 2023 you are not required to be vaccinated or tested to be COVID negative to enter Zanzibar, Tanzania. Health Departments do make updates on their own schedule so we will keep you informed the entire time
Do I have to purchase my own flight?
Yes, you will have to purchase your own flight to Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes you may and they would have to pay for their reservation as well.
Can we get the itinerary ahead of time?
We send itineraries to trip guests who have paid-in-full before the trip begins. That said we send all other needed information prior to the trip to help prepare
Is trip insurance mandatory?
Yes, trip insurance is mandatory for you to go on any group trips. It is often easiest to get insurance via the Credit Card you used to purchase the trip

No you don't, we offer payment plans based on when you submit your initial deposits. The sooner you submit your deposit the lower your monthly payments will be
